With season eight being the last, we are on new ground to a degree.  George.R.R.Martin has to date not finished a new book that is supposed to come out some day - Winds Of Winter.  The last one was A Dance With Dragons 2011.

There has always been some speculation that he was too busy to write & be directly involved with the show.  Add to the fact that he's no spring chicken & we have plenty of room for uncertainty.

It wouldn't make sense for him to dedicate himself to the show & essentially let it spoil the book.  Unless he's given up on the the book, which is unlikely.

The point I'm making here is that no new material from the author means that the writers of the TV show will very likely come up with divergent views, especially if Martin isn't as involved as he once was.  To what degree he has his hands in the mix is undetermined.  All this could be good & not so good.  Mainly, surprises are sure to arise.  That is what I am looking forward to.

Winterfell is burning! HUGE Game of Thrones 'spoiler' leaked as Belfast set spotted going up in FLAMES.

Fans have shared footage which appears to show the home of the House of Stark completely ablaze

Game Of Thrones fans are losing their minds right now after explosive footage which appears to show Winterfell on fire leaked online.

In what could be a humongous spoiler, the home of the House of Stark was completely ablaze in the fan images of the set in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

"OMG Winterfell, this is huge!" wrote one, who shared a video of the set ablaze.

Revealing the scale of the shoot, another said that more than 200 people had taken part in a huge battle scene.

"Big night of filming for GOT8 tonight 26/1 at the Winterfell Set Moneyglass N.Ireland," the Twitter user wrote. "200+ extras in a big battle scene. This was awesome to see tonight."

Full story and pictures;

Not sure how true this is but thought I would post it anyway.
